8 DAYS/7 NIGHTS SAFARI

Day 1 — Nairobi
Arrival in Nairobi, are met and transfered to a city hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi » Amboseli
Drive to the land of “Kilimanjaro Royal Court” the Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive. Amboseli National Park is known for large herds of elephants, zebras, giraffe and other plains game. Dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge or Oltukai Lodge.

Day 3 — Amboseli
Breakfast and spend the day in Amboseli on game drives. Dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge or Oltukai Lodge.

Day 4: Amboseli » Lake Nakuru
Early morning game viewing drive to have a clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro, which provides an excellent backdrop for your cameras. Return to lodge for breakfast. Depart and drive via Nairobi stopping for lunch at Carnivore Restaurant. Proceed to Nakuru in time for dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 5: Spend day in Lake Nakuru National Park with game viewing and packed lunches. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 6 — Masai Mara
Breakfast at the lodge. Depart after breakfast and drive via Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara National Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive. During the game drive, you are likely to see the lions, rhino, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and many other plains game. Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Mara Camp or Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 7 — Masai Mara
Full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Masai Mara is the northern extension of Serengeti ecosystem. During the game drive you are likely to see prides of lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests and many other plains game. Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Mara Camp or Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 8: Nairobi
Breakfast and depart for Nairobi arriving in time for departure home.

 


The Masai Mara national Reserve was gazetted as Reserve in 1972 and it covers an area of 200 sq miles. It is the Northern extension of Serengeti ecosystem. This is the land of Masai people who have maintained their culture and tradition to this century. They have not been influenced by western civilisation. The reserve in rich in game and bird life, and it is in record as the best reserve in Kenya where you can see all the “Big Five”.
