Day 1 – Nairobi
Met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Game Viewers representative. Transfer to your city hotel. Safari briefing. Rest of the day at leisure for optional excursions. Evening transfer to the popular game meat restaurant Carnivore for dinner. Return to Holiday Inn for overnight stay.

Day 2 – Nairobi » Masai Mara
Depart Nairobi for Masai Mara passing through the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley past the extinct volcanoes of Longonot and Suswa, to Narok for a brief stopover to enable your driver gas the vehicle. Continue the drive across the Loita Plains past occupied and abandoned manyattas, the nomadic Masai villages built out of bent poles and plastered with cow dung. Arrive at Sarova Mara Camp for lunch. After a brief relaxation, proceed on for an afternoon game drive returning for dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Mara Camp.

Day 3 – Masai Mara
After breakfast proceed for a morning game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch. An optional visit to the Masai village – extra cost. Later in the evening another game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Mara Camp.

Day 4 – Masai Mara » Lake Nakuru
Breakfast then depart Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Thereafter proceed to the shallow soda lake that is described as an ornithologist’s paradise and one of the world most magnificent sights. Here one has an opportunity to see up to two million flamingoes besides tens of thousands of other birds. Lake Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary and also harbors lion, warthogs, waterbuck, buffalo and many other animals. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5 – Lake Nakuru National Park
Another full day with morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 6
After breakfast drive to the North Rift Valley for a visit to Lake Baringo

Day 7
After breakfast you will drive to Amboseli National Park. Lunch break at Carnivore Restaurant. Continue to Amboseli which is a small park that sits in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Arrive in the evening after a game drive en route, for dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 8
Full day at Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. Early morning game drive will be necessary in order to have an opportunity to see a clear view of Mt. Kilimanjaro before it is covered with clouds. It will offer a beautiful backdrop for your photography. Dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 9
After breakfast depart to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Evening depart to airport for your flight back home.

The Great Rift Valley covers over 8,700 kms (5,400 miles) running from Jordan Valley in the Middle East and taking in the whole of the Red Sea before cutting through Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and finally reaching the Indian Ocean at Beira near the Zambezi River.

In Kenya the Great Rift Valley is dotted with recent volcanoes like Mt. Longonot, Suswa, Menengai and many more. It also contains seven lakes all of which have no outlets. These are Lake Turkana (the Jade Sea), Baringo, Bogoria, Elementaita, Naivasha and Magadi.
