TSAVO NATIONAL
PARK
This park is situated to the south East of Nairobi,
covering an area of 8034 square mile, and it considered
to be the largest National Park in Kenya, with
semi arid type of vegetation. It is a home of
some of Africa’s largest elephant herds, but they
can be hard to locate. Tsavo west is largely covered
by the Yatta Plateau, an ancient lava flow, contains
more fascinating terrain, but more wildlife is
found in Tsavo East, Which is well remembered
for the “Man Eaters lion “ during the construction
of Kenya Uganda Railway Lines. The other major
attraction is the Mzima Springs oasis, where hippos
and crocodiles can be viewed from submerged tank
and observation platform.
